Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description of problem:

Synchronizing the "Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 for x86_64 - BaseOS ISOs 9.4"
on the satellite server fails with the below error.

404, message='Not Found', url=URL('https://cdn.redhat.com/content/dist/rhel9/9.4/x86_64/baseos/iso/virtio-win-1.9.36.iso')

Upon checking the customer portal for ISO Link of RHEL 9.4 Version.

The ISO name is "virtio-win 1.9.38 ISO" but in satellite, it fails on ISO name "virtio-win-1.9.36.iso" in the CDN URL.

100% reproducible.

2. Perform Synchronization.

# hammer repository synchronize --name "Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 for x86_64 - BaseOS ISOs 9.4" --product "Red Hat Enterprise Linux for x86_64" --organization "RedHat"

Expected results:

It is expected to synchronize the iso successfully.

Additional info:

I tried with RHEL 9.0 and 9.3 versions, and it worked fine.

Comment 3 Daniel Alley 2024-05-28 01:13:41 UTC
This isn't a Pulp issue, the file is missing entirely missing from the CDN even though it's listed on the CDN's own index https://cdn.redhat.com/content/dist/rhel9/9.4/x86_64/baseos/iso/

It probably needs to be filed with the RHELDST group on Jira.

Comment 4 Ian Ballou 2024-05-28 18:48:30 UTC
Closing this out as per Comment 3 since the issue is on the CDN and not in Satellite.
