Hi, I am considering refactoring the tmt tests to bring it more up to date with common designs in tmt. Firstly some notes on why I would like to do some refactoring: - Current tests are failing - The purpose of the tests are unclear and they are all combined in one test - Part of the test involves rebuilding of the rpm itself, which is redundant In order to refactor I would want to ask a few things: - What do we want to test here? Some tests I want to implement and separate - Re-running the (full) ctest testsuite defined in the srpm (with internet any other weak dependencies) (Note: use `CMake_TEST_EXTERNAL_CMAKE=/usr/bin` [1] and run only configure + ctest) - Simple smoke tests (check version for example) - Regression tests for the spec macros (building an example spec file) - The spec file has a lot of conditional builds like `bootstrap`, should some of these be tested. One design I have in mind is if needed to avoid circular dependencies, the srpm can be rebuilt with `--with check` or equivalent flags [1]: https://gitlab.kitware.com/cmake/cmake/-/issues/26028#note_1531879
