Operating System: Fedora Linux 40 KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.3.0 Qt Version: 6.7.1 Kernel Version: 6.8.11-300.fc40.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz Memory: 15.3 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 620 Manufacturer: Dell Inc. Product Name: Latitude 5590 Following yesterday's system upgrade I'm no longer able to shutdown, restart or hibernate from the KDE menu. The screen goes blank but the mouse pointer remains on screen and still responds to movement of the mouse but not to any button presses. At this stage I need to press and hold the power button to shutdown. The problem appears to be related to the plasma-workspace-x11 package. If I switch over to using wayland instead of X11 I can shutdown from KDE but this isn't a usable workaround for me because one of the useful features of keepasxc isn't available with wayland. I am still able to shutdown from the command line with 'shutdown -P' instead of using the KDEE menu. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Select Shut Down from application menu dashboard 2. 3. Actual Results: Black screen with mouse pointer still visible and movable but no response to clicks. No response to CTRL-ALT-F3 Need to use power button on laptop to turn off Expected Results: Clean shutdown
