Description Thomas Huth 2024-07-12 08:15:59 UTC
python3-pycotap is still at version 1.1.0 in Fedora, which is from 2015, i.e. quite old already. Please update the package to the latest version 1.3.0 from 2023 (see https://github.com/remko/pycotap). Thanks!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
dnf info python3-pycotap | grep Version
Actual Results:
Version : 1.1.0

Expected Results:
Version : 1.3.0

Hi, Mr. Huth!

I submitted an update to 1.3.0 for rawhide. Please confirm that it is OK.

Great, I gave it a quick try and it seems to work as expected! Thank you very much!

Comment 3 Shlomi Fish 2025-02-13 07:41:49 UTC
Given https://packages.fedoraproject.org/pkgs/python-pycotap/python3-pycotap/ is at 1.3.1 in Rawhide, I am resolving this ticket.

Comment 4 Thomas Huth 2025-02-13 10:01:38 UTC
Thanks, it's even part of Fedora 41 already!

Just one more little remark:
dnf info python3-pycotap | grep URL
prints an URL that does not seem to be valid anymore. Maybe you could update the spec file to point to https://github.com/remko/pycotap/ or so instead?

Thanks for the suggestion. It should be fixed now
