Please branch and build btrfs-progs in epel9. If you do not wish to maintain btrfs-progs in epel9, or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner, the EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package; please add the epel-packagers-sig group through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/btrfs-progs/addgroup and grant it commit access, or collaborator access on epel* branches. I would also be happy to be a co-maintainer (FAS: salimma); please add me through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/btrfs-progs/adduser
While I have no objection to btrfs-progs userspace in EPEL9, to what end? There is no btrfs.ko kernel driver supplied with RHEL9, and EPEL does not allow kernel kmod rpms as far as I know. Thanks, -Eric

It's for btrfs-fuse - which does not need the kernel module - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2304179 - as well as potentially for containerd, which depends on btrfs-progs (though ideally I'll try to see if that can be built with btrfs support turned off) Thanks, Michel
Ah, makes sense. Thanks!
