Description of problem:
When booting kernel-2.6.19-1.2911. kernel-2.6.19-1.2895 or kernel-2.6.20-1.2947 the synoptics touchpad is not recognized by the PS/2 autodetection routine.

Synoptics touchpad not recognized.

I've also tried older and newer kernels. None recognizes this touchpad.
