Hi,

Could you please branch and build perl-MIME-tools for EPEL 10 ?
I would need it to build another package.

If you don't want or have time to maintain this package in EPEL, I'd be glad
to be added to the package so I can take care of it.
Indeed, I can help with maintaining this in Fedora too.
My FAS username is xavierb.

Regards,
Xavier

Will probably be next weekend.

perl-Data-Dumper-Names (https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2024-294cbb75dc)
=> perl-Test-Most => perl-Convert-BinHex => perl-MIME-tools

No hurry, and thanks for your work. My goal is more towards getting things started so EPEL10 is good-to-go by RHEL10 formal release (2025Q2-ish), with the stretch goal of C10S release (2024Q4).

btw, someone on the Fedora Developer list suggested one could do a side-tag (and build all the dependencies at once), if that works better for your workflow. I admit I use side-tags so infrequently (about once every two years) that I not only forget about them, I tend to struggle to remember how to use them properly.

Side-tag is do-able but a bit of a hassle I think, especially when there are so many inter-related things being built by different people. With the two-day latency on new packages at the moment I think it's manageable to wait for the normal flow. I'm not sure what the issue is with the automatic bodhi updates (i.e. having to manually request push to testing) but again it's manageable.

For previous EPEL releases I made extensive use of buildroot overrides but those seem to be frowned upon these days so I'm trying to live without them this time, though I have taken advantage of a few that were set up by other packagers for their builds.
