Description Mamoru TASAKA 2024-09-05 14:08:14 UTC
From Fedora-Astronomy_KDE-Live-Rawhide-20240905.n.0 compose:

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=122986290
https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//work/tasks/6290/122986290/root.log

DEBUG util.py:461: 2024-09-05 13:12:30,616: The exact error message is:
DEBUG util.py:461: 2024-09-05 13:12:30,616:
DEBUG util.py:461: 2024-09-05 13:12:30,616: Non interactive installation failed: An error occurred during the transaction: The transaction process has ended abruptly: Transaction test error:
DEBUG util.py:461: 2024-09-05 13:12:30,616: file /usr/bin/fitscopy conflicts between attempted installs of cfitsio-utils-4.5.0-2.fc42.x86_64 and astrometry-0.94-10.fc41.x86_64

This is due to this change:
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/cfitsio/c/712e385e2679553f0167a982fe96f3fc6bd25814?branch=rawhide

This currently prevents Astronomy live spin creation.
Need to fix also for Fedora 41.

Reproducible: Always

Comment 1 Mamoru TASAKA 2024-09-05 14:11:57 UTC
Adding Nils to CC, seems to be also taking care of this package.

Comment 2 Sergio Pascual 2024-09-05 15:14:19 UTC
I will remove fitscopy from the package. I will coordinate with astrometry to handle the conflict properly

Comment 6 Mamoru TASAKA 2024-09-06 01:28:00 UTC
Reopening to propose for F41FreezeException.

Comment 7 Fedora Blocker Bugs Application 2024-09-06 01:36:38 UTC
Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 41-beta by Fedora user mtasaka using the blocker tracking app because:

Currently Astronomy live spin compose fails with file conflicts between cfitsio-utils and astrometry:

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=122986290
(This is for rawhide compose, but F41 should be seeing the same. It seems there is no compose for F-41 on 0904 nor 0905).

Dependency issue now is fixed, and with that fix, now file conflict issue got shown.
