plymouth debug log

Description of problem:
When my machine boots, I just get the fallback three dots. On shutdown, I get the expected motherboard logo and spinner.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
plymouth-24.004.60-12.fc40.x86_64

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot

Actual results:
Boot animation is the three text dots.

Expected results:
Boot animation is the motherboard logo and the spinner.


Additional info:
Doesn't help to do "sudo plymouth-set-default-theme -rR".

Attached a debug log from plymouth.

Many thanks! My system was not using the amdgpu driver, so the blacklist approach worked fine resolving the issue here!

On UEFI systems (where we can use the simpledrm /dev/dri/card0 bases on the EFI framebuffer while waiting for the amdgpu driver) this should be resolved by:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/PlymouthUseSimpledrm

Note blacklisting amdgpu if it is not used will still lead to a significantly faster boot, but after the above change the splash / graphical spinner should at least show without customizing the install.
