Fedora 41 gdk-pixbuf2 has dropped the loader for BMP, XPM and other image file formats all of sudden, so by default, Geeqie (and a few other apps) cannot handle such images anymore. An explicit dependency on the new package would be a workaround. I've added this to Claws Mail, there's something similar in xsane, too: %if 0%{?fedora} > 40 Requires: gdk-pixbuf2-modules-extra%{?_isa} %endif Reproducible: Always
Can confirm. Using the workaround (installing gdk-pixbuf2-modules-extra) fixes Eclipse and xsnow which are the apps that didn't work for me
