Doc Text:
.CephFS subvolume groups and subvolumes can now be selected directly from the Create NFS export form Previously, when creating a CephFS NFS export, you would need to know the existing subvolume and subvolume groups prior to creating the NFS export, and manually enter the information into the form. With the enhancement, once a volume is selected, the relevant subvolume groups and subvolumes are available to select seamlessly from inside the Create NFS export form.

Description Manisha Saini 2024-09-16 18:25:11 UTC
Description of problem:
=======================

In the dashboard, go to File → Filesystem and create a subvolume group and subvolume. Next, navigate to File → NFS and select Create → Create NFS export. In the "Volume" dropdown menu, choose the filesystem created. However, under the "Subvolume group" dropdown menu, the subvolume groups that were created are not appearing.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
==============================
# ceph --version
ceph version 19.1.1-39.el9cp (ff85d72be6c3acea30916eee3219ab627a3f9c15) squid (rc)

How reproducible:
================
2/2

Steps to Reproduce:
===================
1. Open the Dashboard URL
2. Under File --> Filesystem --> Create --> Create File System (Eg Name - cephfs-new)
3. Click on the newly created filesystem (cephfs-new) --> subvolume group --> Create --> Create Subvolume group (Eg Name -subvolgroup-new)
4. Click subvolume --> Select the subvolume group in left panel (subvolgroup-new) --> Create --> Create Subvolume (Eg - Name - Subvol-new)
5. Go to NFS--> Create --> Create NFS export --> Select "volume" from drop down (Cephfs-new) --> Open the drop down list of "subvolume group" (Unable to see the "subvolgroup-new" in the drop down list)

Actual results:
==============
The subvolume groups created are not listed under the drop down list of subvolume group in create nfs export page

Expected results:
==================
The subvolume group should be listed in the drop down list
