Starting in F40 and continuing in F41 (workstation) the Firefox user interface will momentarily hang or freeze. This is a chronic condition that started sometime in early August. Examples: 1. playing youtube and the screen freezes for several seconds but audio continues. 2. Clicking a firefox tab, the tab opens but mouse or keyboard movements not possible for several seconds. 3. Scrolling a web page with page down or up or mouse scroll wheel and screen freezes for several seconds then jumps to the location from the movements. Gnome will occasionally display a "Firefox is not responding" dialog but not always. Very annoying. I have checked journalctl but do not see anything. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open firefox 2. Start using 3. Short freezes and hangs start after a minute or so Actual Results: Short (a few seconds) hangs or freezes in the UI. Audio (in a youtube for example) continues without pause. Occasionally, Gnome will open a "Firefox is Not Responding" dialog with Quit or Wait buttons. Expected Results: Smooth continuous UI responding to mouse or keyboard input Fedora 40 and 41 Gnome Firefox via rpm NVidia graphics with rpmfusion drivers All current
Thanks. Can you please report it at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org under Core / Widget Gtk component? Let's continue there.
Note that it may be related to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1890074 which is under recent investigation so I'd like to get detailed input from you.

Glad to help. Please let me know what is needed. Reported at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1921999. Unfortunately I did not see the option to switch to a different layout until I clicked submit so this is not filed under core / widget as requested.
Mozilla bug now filed in core/widget gtk.
