Description of problem: Lilypond's Vim plugin files (syntax, ftdetect, etc) are in /usr/share/vim90, but this directory is not used by the current version of Vim, 9.1. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): lilypond-2.25.16-1.fc40.x86_64 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a .ly file in Vim Actual results: No syntax highlighting Expected results: Syntax highlighting Additional info: I suggest Lilypond should instead be putting these files in /usr/share/vim/vimfiles (which is part of RUNTIMEPATH regardless of version) instead of /usr/share/vim/vim{version}. Then this issue wouldn't come up again when Vim 9.2 comes out. Currently, Lilypond is the only package putting files in vim{version} other than Vim itself, whereas other Vim-supporting packages all put their files in vimfiles. Compare: dnf repoquery -f /usr/share/vim/vim9\*/\* with: dnf repoquery -f /usr/share/vim/vimfiles/\*
Thank you, I'll get an update out today.
