Description Miro Hrončok 2024-10-14 22:41:02 UTC
Please branch and build python-typing-extensions in epel10. Thanks.

It builds fine from the rawhide branch:

Thank you.

Will you be able to branch and build python-typing-extensions in epel10?

Comment 2 Ben Beasley 2024-10-22 11:25:54 UTC
I will need this package too, and I am already an individual co-maintainer with admin privilege, so I will branch and build it and help maintain it as needed.

Never mind, no, I won’t.

Could not execute request_branch: This package is already an EL package, therefore it cannot be in EPEL. If this is a mistake or you have an exception, please contact the Release Engineering team.

It appears that python3-typing-extensions-4.9.0-5.el10 is in the base OS.

I will check if the dependency version bound in python-typeguard, bug 2318673, can be loosened, or if a slightly older version of that package can be branched.

OH, blam. I saw the dependency issue and assumed it was missing. Mea culpa.
