Description Xavier Bachelot 2024-10-16 21:26:28 UTC
Hi,

Could you please branch and build perl-Crypt-PBKDF2 for EPEL 10 ?
I would need it to build another package.

If you don't want or have time to maintain this package in EPEL, I'd be glad
to be added to the package so I can take care of it.
Indeed, I can help with maintaining this in Fedora too.
My FAS username is xavierb.

Regards,
Xavier

I don't know what's going on here. I built it 4 weeks ago and built other packages (e.g. perl-Crypt-CBC) that depended on it:

For reasons so far unknown, the package got blocked in koji.

It has been unblocked and I did a bump-and-rebuild:

perl-Crypt-PBKDF2-0.161520-19.el10_0 is now in the EPEL-10.0 buildroot.

For the record, I'm currently looking at the EPEL 10 fail-to-install issues.

Comment 6 Paul Howarth 2024-10-17 08:14:06 UTC
perl-Crypt-PBKDF2 should resolve the perl ones.

I try to avoid FTI issues by making all run-time dependencies of my packages into build-time dependencies too, so if a package builds OK it should also install OK. Something strange happened here and I don't know if we'll find out what it was.
