Do you know if it's tracked somewhere? I'm not familiar with Fedora "request for packaging" or "intent to package" procedures.

Comment 11 Jakub Kadlčík 2025-05-28 09:17:46 UTC
I don't think it is tracked anywhere. You can try adding it here
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Package_maintainers_wishlist
but I doubt somebody will pick it from there.

If there was a review ticket in Bugzilla, we could set "blocked by", but I recently looked and didn't find any.

My plan is to get it to Fedora myself and ask the Python SIG if they would co-maintain it.

Comment 15 Danny Colin 2025-06-28 16:01:05 UTC
Hey Jakub, now that python-dbus-fast is in the repository, it's possible to build the latest Qtile version. I opened a PR on Pagure and I'd like to contribute in maintaining this package on the long term.

Comment 16 Jakub Kadlčík 2025-06-30 13:23:22 UTC
Hello Danny,
I've seen the PR but didn't get to testing it, sorry about that. I am trying to build it in Copr right now, and merge after that.
There is currently an outage of several Fedora services because of a datacenter move. So we will likely not be able to build the package in the last couple of days.

> I'd like to contribute in maintaining this package on the long term.

That would be great, thank you. What is your FAS username? I will add you as a co-maintainer.

Comment 19 Fedora Admin user for bugzilla script actions 2025-08-12 13:33:47 UTC
This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.

Comment 20 Miro Hrončok 2025-08-19 09:58:48 UTC
Automation has figured out the package is retired in rawhide.

If you like it to be unretired, please open a ticket at https://pagure.io/releng/new_issue?template=package_unretirement
