After update to wpa_supplicant-2.11-3.fc41 on my Thinkpad P1 generatin2 with wlp82s0 interface HotSpot does not work. Revert back to wpa_supplicant x86_64 1:2.10-10.fc40

The connection to AP works well on my system. But HotSpot is main mode for using wlp82s0 interface for me. Back again to wpa_supplicant-2.10-10.fc40

Try wpa_supplicant-2.11-4.fc42.x86_64 from branded Fedora42 and get same result. Hotspot mode does not work.  Back again to wpa_supplicant-2.10-10.fc40

Try wpa_supplicant-2.11-6.fc43 from Fedora Rawhide and get same result. Hotspot mode does not work.  Back again to wpa_supplicant-2.10-10.fc40. Four version issue could not be solved, quite unhappy.

Hotspot mode does not work in wpa_supplicant-2.11-6.fc42 from Fedora 42 Stable as well

Try wpa_supplicant-2.11-7.fc43 from announced releng's build and get same result. Hotspot mode does not work.  Back again to wpa_supplicant-2.10-10.fc40

This message is a reminder that Fedora Linux 41 is nearing its end of life.
Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora Linux 41 on 2025-12-15.

Try wpa_supplicant-2.11-9.fc44 from Fedora Rawhide and get same result. Hotspot mode does not work.  Back again to wpa_supplicant-2.10-10.fc40. Five versions issue could not be solved, quite unhappy.

The Fedora project serves as the foundation for RedHat distributions. Recently, I had the opportunity to verify that the aforementioned bug, which has been ignored for several years (since Fedora 40), is spreading across related distributions.
