I'd probably fix this myself if I had extra bandwidth given how good oops transcripts this gave (despite somewhat alien subsystem). Happy to test the patch tho if/when it is available.

Unfortunately I'm busy compiling huge Rust project that is melting my laptop ATM ;-) Someone else gets the fun part...

So please CC any possible patches to jarkko and I'm happy to give tested-by (if the patch works)!

I'm seeing the same issue on a Fedora 40 desktop using KDE. A cursory search of comment boards like reddit shows that this is an old and persistent bug going back several generations of Fedora and various hardware configurations. There seems to be no clear explanation or solution yet, which surprises me. Basically, wifi works fine when the system first comes up -- in my case a MSI motherboard with an onboard Intel wifi system (Intel Corporation Raptor Lake-S PCH CNVi WiFi). If the system is allowed to go into suspend, it becomes impossible to reconnect to the wifi station:
