1. Please describe the problem: Having upgraded via gnome-software to kernel 6.11.6, I rebooted, only to find the only entry in my OpenCore bootloader was the rescue kernel. Errors of the following type appeared in the OpenCore bootloader screen: ``` LNX: /vmlinuz-6.11.5-300-fc41.x86_64.img $tuned_initrd not found - Not Found LNX: Error processing <machine-id>-6.11.5-300.fc41.x86_64.conf - Not Found LNX: /vmlinuz-6.11.6-300-fc41.x86_64.img $tuned_initrd not found - Not Found LNX: Error processing <machine-id>-6.11.6-300.fc41.x86_64.conf - Not Found ``` After much trial and error, I discovered that removing ` $tuned_initrd` from the bootloader entries allowed me to boot. I have not opted in to systemd-boot, and I'm not using rawhide or testing packages. 2. What is the Version-Release number of the kernel: 6.11.6 3. Did it work previously in Fedora? If so, what kernel version did the issue *first* appear? Old kernels are available for download at https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=8 : Yes, worked up until 6.11.6 4. Can you reproduce this issue? If so, please provide the steps to reproduce the issue below: I can reproduce the issue with `dnf reinstall kernel-core` 5. Does this problem occur with the latest Rawhide kernel? To install the Rawhide kernel, run ``sudo dnf install fedora-repos-rawhide`` followed by ``sudo dnf update --enablerepo=rawhide kernel``: I don't know 6. Are you running any modules that not shipped with directly Fedora's kernel?: Yes, drivers and such, but this is apparently related only to grub/bootloader 7. Please attach the kernel logs. You can get the complete kernel log for a boot with ``journalctl --no-hostname -k > dmesg.txt``. If the issue occurred on a previous boot, use the journalctl ``-b`` flag. I believe this is a bootloader / grub / scriptlet problem, not a kernel problem per-se, since removing ` $tuned_initrd` from the bootloader entry appears to solve the problem. Reproducible: Always
