Description of problem: messagebus service hangs on startup due to ldap not being available. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): dbus-1.0.1-9.fc6 openldap-servers-2.3.27-4 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: configure ldap enable ldap & messagebus services chkconfig ldap on chkconfig messagebus on Actual results: messagebus hangs on startup, but eventually times out with errors. Expected results: messagebus to start without delay. Additional info: As a work-a-round I amended /etc/init.d/messagebus from: chkconfig: 345 22 85 to: chkconfig: 345 27 85 so that ldap starts before messagebus.
