This is part of the icu4x stack; it is a direct dependency for rust-icu_locid.

While a later version, 0.7.4, is available, it depends on databake 0.2.0 and is therefore associated with the upcoming icu4x 2.0.0, currently still in beta. The version submitted here depends on databake 0.1.x and is compatible with the current icu4x 1.5.0 release.

Comment 3 Fabio Valentini 2025-03-14 14:06:35 UTC
There is version 0.7.5 out now, but importing 0.7.3 now and updating to 0.7.5 later is fine.

===

Package was generated with rust2rpm, simplifying the review.

✅ package contains only permissible content
✅ package builds and installs without errors on rawhide
✅ test suite is run and all unit tests pass
✅ latest version of the crate is packaged
✅ license matches upstream specification and is acceptable for Fedora
✅ license file is included with %license in %files
✅ package complies with Rust Packaging Guidelines

Package APPROVED.

===

Recommended post-import rust-sig tasks:

- set up package on release-monitoring.org:
  project: $crate
  homepage: https://crates.io/crates/$crate
  backend: crates.io
  version scheme: semantic
  version filter (*NOT* pre-release filter): alpha;beta;rc;pre
  distro: Fedora
  Package: rust-$crate

- add @rust-sig with "commit" access as package co-maintainer
  (should happen automatically)

- set bugzilla assignee overrides to @rust-sig (optional)

- track package in koschei for all built branches
  (should happen automatically once rust-sig is co-maintainer)

Comment 4 Ben Beasley 2025-03-14 14:13:28 UTC
Thank you for the review! I’ll update after importing. EPEL9 will be blocked at 0.7.4 since 0.7.5 introduces MSRV 1.81.

Comment 6 Ben Beasley 2025-03-14 14:28:56 UTC
Actually, I will *not* update after importing, for reasons I figured out when I opened the review request but had since forgotten:
