Description of problem: nagios-plugins-check-updates from EPEL 10 (currently in testing) has one or more unresolved dependencies, causing it to be uninstallable. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): nagios-plugins-check-updates-2.0.6-1.el10_0 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. dnf --enablerepo epel-testing install nagios-plugins-check-updates Actual results: Error: Problem: conflicting requests - nothing provides nagios-plugins needed by nagios-plugins-check-updates-2.0.6-1.el10_0.x86_64 from epel-testing Expected results: successful installation Additional info: If the solution to this is to add additional packages to EPEL 10, but you don't have access to add them yourself, follow the request process in the EPEL documentation. Once you have filed the corresponding bugs, mark them as blocking this bug. https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/epel/epel-package-request/ If you think resolving this will take a long time, and would prefer to remove this uninstallable package from EPEL 10 in the meantime, click "unpush" from the "actions" menu on the bodhi update. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2024-95371632c0
RHEL10 and AlmaLinux10 stable already are available. Unfortunately, currently there are no nagios/nrpe packages in epel10 repo. Any news/plans regarding this?
Nagios and NRPE seem to be available in EPEL now. (They installed on my Centos 10-stream system) and the current epel10-branch built RPM installs). I'm not entirely sure why the bug this depends on is still open. I did run fedpkg build on the current epel10 branch (sorry if that causes any problems) - but figured I'd post here before doing anything else. I'm @mhjacks in FAS and willing to help co-maintain this in EPEL10 (and elsewhere) to help move this along. Thanks!
Whoops, sorry. I forgot to submit the already built package in bodhi.
> I'm not entirely sure why the bug this depends on is still open. The bug was reopened by someone asking for the package to also be built in EPEL 10.0. > I forgot to submit the already built package in bodhi. Unfortunately that previous build won't be able to be used. It was untagged long enough that the artifacts were garbage collected. This can be verified by viewing the build state of "deleted" in koji. https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=2568701 Please create a new build and submit that. Keep in mind that building from the epel10 branch will now result in an EPEL 10.1 build. If you want to deliver it in EPEL 10.0 also (which will need nagios-plugins in EPEL 10.0 too), you'll need to build from the epel10.0 branch. We're also quickly approaching the epel10.1 mass branching event, after which a build from the epel10 branch will result in an EPEL 10.2 build.
