Description Carl George 🤠 2024-11-25 21:44:56 UTC
Description of problem:
nagios-plugins-check-updates from EPEL 10 (currently in testing) has one or more unresolved dependencies, causing it to be uninstallable.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
nagios-plugins-check-updates-2.0.6-1.el10_0

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. dnf --enablerepo epel-testing install nagios-plugins-check-updates

Actual results:
Error:
 Problem: conflicting requests
  - nothing provides nagios-plugins needed by nagios-plugins-check-updates-2.0.6-1.el10_0.x86_64 from epel-testing

Expected results:
successful installation

Additional info:
If the solution to this is to add additional packages to EPEL 10, but you don't have access to add them yourself, follow the request process in the EPEL documentation. Once you have filed the corresponding bugs, mark them as blocking this bug.

https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/epel/epel-package-request/

If you think resolving this will take a long time, and would prefer to remove this uninstallable package from EPEL 10 in the meantime, click "unpush" from the "actions" menu on the bodhi update.

Comment 1 ZC 2025-05-28 07:11:04 UTC
RHEL10 and AlmaLinux10 stable already are available.
Unfortunately, currently there are no nagios/nrpe packages in epel10 repo.
Any news/plans regarding this?
