Description of problem: I use AlmaLinux and recently upgraded from 9.4 to 9.5. The package gcc-gnat was removed while updating, since gcc was upgraded from 11.4.1 to 11.5.0 and has the following Obsoletes: gcc-gnat < 11.5.0-2.el9.alma.1 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Alma 9.4: gcc-11.5.0-2.el9.alma.1.x86_64.rpm Alma 9.5: gcc-11.5.0-2.el9.alma.1.x86_64 in EPEL repo: gcc-gnat-11.4.1-4.el9.x86_64.rpm How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Alma 9.4 2. Install gnat-gcc 3. Upgrade Alma 9.5 4. gnat-gcc is gone and not installable anymore Actual results: # rpm -q gcc gcc-11.5.0-2.el9.alma.1.x86_64 # dnf install gcc-gnat Last metadata expiration check: 1:17:47 ago on Tue 26 Nov 2024 08:18:36 PM CET. Package gcc-11.5.0-2.el9.alma.1.x86_64 is already installed. Dependencies resolved. Nothing to do. Complete! # rpm -q gcc-gnat package gcc-gnat is not installed Expected results: gcc-gnat should install and be available Additional info: i don't know if it helps, but a company called inferitos (i don't know them) seemed to have upgraded the package themselves: https://rsync.inferitos.ru/vault/9.5-beta/Extras/sources/Packages/gcc-epel-11.5.0-3.el9.src.rpm - it seems they use it for 32bit OS. i tried to rebuild the package, but without success
