description:
A drop-in replacement for sdkmanager from the Android SDK
written in Python. It implements the exact API of the
sdkmanager command line. It only deviates from that API
if it can be done while being 100% compatible.

The project also attempts to maintain the same terminal
output so it can be compatible with things that scrape
sdkmanager output.

NOTES
-----
The shebang in the main module file under site-packages should be stripped:
python3-sdkmanager.noarch: E: non-executable-script /usr/lib/python3.13/site-packages/sdkmanager.py 644 /usr/bin/python3 -sP

The use of "%" inside description is evaluated as macro:
Macros in: python3-sdkmanager (description)

As personal opinion, I think it would be better to name the package 'python-sdkmanager' to be clear that this is not Google's
sdkmanager. WDYT?

Comment 3 Mattia Verga 2024-12-01 11:05:40 UTC
Agh, forgot the last paragraph about package naming... it's morning and I had a busy couple of days...

Comment 4 Benson Muite 2024-12-02 03:47:08 UTC
Have renamed to python-sdkmanager, it is not a library, but may help distinguish
from the other sdkmanager software provided by Google. It is sdkmanager in Debian
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/sdkmanager Could also use python-android-sdkmanager
as the package name. Removed shebang.

Comment 6 Mattia Verga 2024-12-03 16:43:58 UTC
Rpmlint still shows
python3-sdkmanager.noarch: E: non-executable-script /usr/lib/python3.13/site-packages/sdkmanager.py 644 /usr/bin/env python3

I think it's complaining about the executable bit rather than the shebang.
Please fix that before import, the package is APPROVED.
