Comment 1 Fedora Review Service 2024-12-06 03:10:02 UTC
Copr build:
https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/build/8347442
(failed)

Build log:
https://download.copr.fedorainfracloud.org/results/@fedora-review/fedora-review-2330715-rust-assert2/fedora-rawhide-x86_64/08347442-rust-assert2/builder-live.log.gz

Please make sure the package builds successfully at least for Fedora Rawhide.

- If the build failed for unrelated reasons (e.g. temporary network
  unavailability), please ignore it.
- If the build failed because of missing BuildRequires, please make sure they
are listed in the "Depends On" field

If you want to trigger a new Copr build, add a comment containing new
Spec and SRPM URLs or [fedora-review-service-build] string.

Comment 2 Ben Beasley 2025-10-13 12:27:32 UTC
The COPR build has been garbage-collected, and the spec and SRPM links now give 404 errors, so this is not reviewable.

If you are still working on this, could you please provide updated links?

You might consider using something like https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Infrastructure/fedorapeople.org to avoid the problem of COPR builds disappearing before you find a reviewer.

Comment 4 Ben Beasley 2025-10-14 05:57:11 UTC
No issues found; the package is APPROVED.

----

Recommended post-import rust-sig tasks:

- set up package on release-monitoring.org:
  project: $crate
  homepage: https://crates.io/crates/$crate
  backend: crates.io
  version scheme: semantic
version filter (*NOT* pre-release filter): alpha;beta;rc;pre
  distro: Fedora
  Package: rust-$crate

- add @rust-sig with "commit" access as package co-maintainer
  (should happen automatically)

- set bugzilla assignee overrides to @rust-sig (optional)

- track package in koschei for all built branches
(should happen automatically once rust-sig is co-maintainer)

Package Review
==============

Legend:
[x] = Pass, [!] = Fail, [-] = Not applicable, [?] = Not evaluated

The spec file is exactly as generated by rust2rpm, greatly simplifying the
review.

Issues:
=======
- Package does not contain duplicates in %files.
  Note: warning: File listed twice:
  /usr/share/cargo/registry/assert2-0.3.16/CHANGELOG.md
  See: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-
  guidelines/#_duplicate_files

This is not a serious problem and is due to reasonable design decisions in
  rust2rpm.

Comment 6 Adam Williamson 2025-12-02 01:53:27 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora Linux 41 is nearing its end of life.
Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora Linux 41 on 2025-12-15.
It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer
maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a
'version' of '41'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, change the 'version'
to a later Fedora Linux version. Note that the version field may be hidden.
Click the "Show advanced fields" button if you do not see it.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora Linux 41 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora Linux, you are encouraged to change the 'version' to a later version
prior to this bug being closed.

Ben, solomoncyj:
no reason to keep this in open state?

Comment 8 Ben Beasley 2025-12-02 10:18:13 UTC
(In reply to Terje Rosten from comment #7)
> Ben, solomoncyj:

Agreed. Usually the reporter closes it, often by linking it to the Bodhi updates for the initial package. It’s easy to miss, though.
