We can go ahead and update to 1.19.1. Version 1.20.0 and later have bleeding-edge dependencies. - hatchling 1.27: packaged for F42, not coming to older releases - packaging 24.2: packaged for F42, presumably not coming to older releases by default - tox 4.24.1: bug 2339185, not ready yet - uv 0.5.22: packaged for F42, coming to older releases in the next couple of weeks Overall, then, we can only update past 1.19.1 in F42/Rawhide, and only once tox 4.24.1 (bug 2339185) is ready.
I guess we are already relaxing the dependencies on hatchling and packaging in the spec file, so we can *probably* get away with continuing to relax those. So maybe we can actually ship 1.20.0+ in Fedora 40 and 41 *if* tox 4.24.1 is built there. I don’t really want to relax the tox dependency.
