Hi, Please branch and build python-confluent-kafka in epel10. Checking right now, it builds fine on EPEL 10 when using the rawhide branch content. See this scratch build: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=128005623 Cheers, Romain Reproducible: Always
I have just created the branch and built a package: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=128009022 I was also updating the rawhide version to 2.4.0, to match the librdkafka version. However, it looks like CentOS 10 has an older 2.1.1 librdkafka, so I've stayed with the previous version from Fedora.
Hi, Thanks, but I see now status update here: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/?packages=python-confluent-kafka. For EPEL, just creating a build is not enough to have it shipped to users, you also need to create a new Fedora Update referencing your build. See for example this other request: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2335576 and the associated Fedora Update https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2025-5657648bfd
FEDORA-EPEL-2025-92cb2d590f (python-confluent-kafka-1.6.1-9.el10_0) has been submitted as an update to Fedora EPEL 10.0. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2025-92cb2d590f
Ah you're right, sorry for that. Bodhi update created now.
FEDORA-EPEL-2025-92cb2d590f has been pushed to the Fedora EPEL 10.0 testing repository.
