Created attachment 2066962 [details] Update to 6.1.0 (#2339188)
the-new-hotness/release-monitoring.org's scratch build of python-twine-6.1.0-1.fc40.src.rpm for rawhide failed http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=128265056
From https://twine.readthedocs.io/en/stable/changelog.html#twine-6-1-0-2025-01-17 > packaging is used instead of pkginfo for parsing and validating metadata. This aligns metadata validation to the one performed by PyPI. packaging version 24.0 or later is required. Support for metadata version 2.4 requires packaging 24.2 or later. pkginfo is not a dependency anymore. This is an important update that should let developers upload stuff with PEP 639 (License-Expression, License-Files) to PyPI. I suppose we should test this and if it works, look into upgrading packaging in stable releases to backport this as as well.
Twine has gained a new dependency: https://pypi.org/project/id/ - I'm going to take a look at it.
