When running through crontab(/etc/cron.d/logcheck) that are installed by default it spams: egrep: warning: egrep is obsolescent; using grep -E For every usage of egrep in the /usr/sbin/logcheck exeutable Reproducible: Always Actual Results: Spamed with warnings Expected Results: No warning about obsolescent commands
Preferably the shellcheck issues should also be solved. shellcheck /usr/sbin/logcheck
Not even an chatbot answers, then you are truly alone :)
FTR, I will happily review and merge pull-requests made to the package or cherry-pick any patches sent to upstream that are pointed out to me.
I'm sorry that you felt ignored. I'd happily hand-over the package into someone else's caring hands. I don't have the time to work on this. I've initially packaged logcheck ages ago, but don't use it anymore for quite some time.
I then I understand. It looks like it's fixed in this git with alot of other fixes. https://salsa.debian.org/kevinoid/logcheck/-/tree/kevinoid/src?ref_type=heads Don't know in which commit.
