Description lazarevic.david 2025-02-05 09:29:16 UTC
Trying to sort an nfcapd file while using the -O option results in failure.

This can be fixed by downgrading to the version 1.73.3.

For example:

# nfdump -R nfdump/ -O obyte > nfdump/test

Results in:

Unknown print order 'obyte'

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to sort one or multiple nfcapd files by using the -O option with a parameter
Actual Results:
Error message:

Unknown print order 'obyte'

Expected Results:
Order the flows by the out bytes.

Can be fixed by downgrading the nfdump package to the version 1.73.3.

Edit: This issue was fixed in the latest commit of nfdump: https://github.com/phaag/nfdump/issues/599 along with another issue related to ip lists: https://github.com/phaag/nfdump/issues/600
