Kernel 6.13 Kernel Crashes When Using Portals To Open File Within A Flatpak e.g. uploading an image into Flatpak Firefox, or an ebook in Foliates Flatpak. Also happening to arch users on 6.13 so not specific to Fedora: https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/linux/-/issues/110 Using kernel-6.13.1-200.fc41.x86_64, flatpak-1.16.0-1.fc41.x86_64 , gnome-shell-47.3-1.fc41.x86_64 and xdg-desktop-portal-gnome-47.1-1.fc41.x86_64. Worked just fine previously on kernels kernel-6.11.4-301.fc41.x86_64, and kernel-6.12.11-200.fc41.x86_64. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Flatpak Firefox. 2. Go to a website that needs to open the file picker portal. 3. Add file from portal 4. Watch the sparks fly. Actual Results: Kernel Crashes, system fully locks up.
Created attachment 2075203 [details] Journalctl output of kernel 6.13.
Have seen the exact same behaviour using the Evolution flatpak. When attaching an image to an email, the kernel crashes.
Created attachment 2075355 [details] kernel crash upon opening image from Evolution (flatpak)
kernel 6.13.2 does not fix the problem.
kernel 6.13.3-201.fc41.x86_64 just crashed upon forwarding an email as attachment in the flatpak version of Evolution.
kernel 6.13.4-200.fc41.x86_64 just crashed upon forwarding an email as attachment in the flatpak version of Evolution. The mentioned issue for arch linux appears to be resolved a while ago, not sure why the mentioned patch there has not made it into the Fedora version ....
kernel-6.13.5-200.fc41 appears to be working, thanks to the fuse readahead fix!!
