Description Miro Hrončok 2025-03-04 17:41:17 UTC
Hello.

nova-agent BuildRequires python3-nose.

python-nose will be retired from Fedora 43. Please drop this requirement or retire nova-agent as well.

python3-nose was deprecated in Fedora for 5 years.

Let me know if you need assistance. Thanks.

As per point 3 of https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/#_package_removal_for_long_standing_ftbfs_and_fti_bugs I am asking the maintainer(s) to respond.

Comment 2 Sam P 2025-03-19 13:29:08 UTC
Apologies for the delay Miro. I am not able to update this package as as far as I know the project is no longer being updated nor do I have contact with the upstream maintainers. This package will need to be retired, I am happy to follow any needed steps to achieve this goal. Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Samuel

Comment 3 Miro Hrončok 2025-03-19 13:37:57 UTC
Do you mind if I orphan the package on your behalf?

Comment 4 Sam P 2025-03-19 13:39:52 UTC
I do not mind at all, thank you Miro.

Samuel

Comment 5 Fedora Admin user for bugzilla script actions 2025-03-20 02:06:02 UTC
This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.

Comment 6 Maxwell G 2025-05-04 04:12:35 UTC
Automation has figured out the package is retired in Fedora Rawhide.

If you like it to be unretired, please open a ticket at
