https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2025-58578af054 and https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2025-80ff85af75 enable microphone support for a number of Apple Silicon Macbooks. We'd like to have these out of the box for the f42 beta so that we can preinstall them in Fedora Asahi Remix and ensure users will be able to test a working microphone from the get go.

Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 42-beta by Fedora user dcavalca using the blocker tracking app because:

 These updates enable microphone support for a number of Apple Silicon Macbooks. We'd like to have these out of the box for the f42 beta so that we can preinstall them in Fedora Asahi Remix and ensure users will be able to test a working microphone from the get go.

!agreed 2351031 - Accepted as a Beta Freeze Exception - This seems low risk and will help Asahi downstream.
