Description of problem: Fixes have landed upstream that fix the Mute LED handling on the X1 Carbon G13 https://git.alsa-project.org/?p=alsa-ucm-conf.git;a=commit;h=d627a0a9c860496f64f452a299e3f00ce9a6d20c There hasn't been a new alsa release so I wasn't sure if there was a method to get this pulled into Fedora41 alsa-ucm package, as we're looking at cutting a new Fedora image for our Fedora releases. Let me know if anything is possible, otherwise I can look at getting a limitation for this issue as it will eventually be fixed by online update - but would rather have it fixed before shipping for a better user experience. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): N/A How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Press speaker or mic mute key Actual results: No LED change Expected results: Glowing goodness Additional info: Happy to help with any testing etc. Let me know what would be possible or useful. I will note that we're expecting a similar fix from Cirrus for the X9 platforms very soon too.
Hi Jaroslav, Less urgent - but the UCM conf fixes for the X9-14 also landed upstream, so can I tag those along with this request (let me know if you would rather have a separate BZ)? https://github.com/alsa-project/alsa-ucm-conf/commit/79c9e8f7e169addc779721d2daf57ac2a049094f https://github.com/alsa-project/alsa-ucm-conf/commit/9e946d46509ebb06d578c8940cb0bf9fd654708c We don't do a Fedora preload for this platform - but I'd still like to give a good Fedora experience for anybody who tries it Mark
As Fedora 42 is being released next week, we'll be switching our preload to that. Can't find a way to change the ticket....let me know if a new one is needed or not. Mark
