gnome-abrt 1.5.1 was just released and is already being packaged in Fedora for Rawhide and F42. It is just a very small, bugfix release that in addition to updated translations brings desktop/appdata fixes: 1. The desktop file has "X-GNOME-Utilities" category replaced with a generic "Utility" one. The support for X-GNOME-Utilities was removed in GNOME 48 and even though this category should now be ignored by gnome-shell, it could potentially still cause some issues and removing it from the desktop file is certainly a good idea. 2. The appdata file had some minor issues with the screenshot tag that made the file invalid. It is fixed in 1.5.1. This update also adds the previously missing developer_name and content_rating tags. These are the only changes in this release: https://github.com/abrt/gnome-abrt/compare/1.5.0...1.5.1 (The Packit 1.0.0 fix is already added as a downstream patch in 1.5.0.)
Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 42-final by Fedora user asciiwolf using the blocker tracking app because: 1.5.1 is a very small, bugfix release (see bug description for details) that would be great to have in F42 Final. The regression potential for this new release when compared to 1.5.0 is basically none.
Thumbs up for the minor touches, Daniel. Please just be aware that we actually have a release blocker approved against gnome-abrt, see bug 2356257 .
+3 in https://pagure.io/fedora-qa/blocker-review/issue/1819 , marking accepted.
gnome-abrt was reverted to older (gtk3) version in F42. Closing.
