Description Eric Maryniak 2007-04-10 17:07:37 UTC
Description of problem: F7t3 won't install: "anaconda:702 HtmlUtil-CRITICAL"

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible: install on HP laptop (Compaq nw8000), KDE (instead of Gnome)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. insert installation DVD
2. boot up
3. choose KDE (instead of Gnome)

Actual results: console #1: anaconda:702 HtmlUtil-CRITICAL **:
html_stream_cancel: assert_stream->cancel_func != NULL failed

Expected results: continued installation, instead install hangs

Additional info:

Comment 1 Eric Maryniak 2007-04-10 17:18:49 UTC
Hang also occurs when selecting all defaults (Gnome in lieu of KDE).
The complete error message is:

anaconda:702 HtmlUtil-CRITICAL **: html_stream_cancel:
assert_stream->cancel_func != NULL failed
(repeated 4 times)
No handlers could be found for logger "yum.YumBase"

Also note that I do not have an internet connection (although there is an
Ethernet card, named 'eth0', in the laptop).

Comment 2 Eric Maryniak 2007-04-10 17:36:32 UTC
Hang also occurs with all defaults (Customize later, eth0 connected).

Comment 3 Eric Maryniak 2007-04-11 08:54:22 UTC
Well, it seems like I was too impatient :-)
After a long time, the installer does finish (it does not hang).
So this bug can be closed, however, a message "this may take a long time" would
be helpful ;-)
