Running a live-session using Fedora-COSMIC-Live-42-1.1.x86_64.iso and installing it to disk, we end up with a system without the default users directories (Downloads, Music, Video...). After further investigation this turned to be the result of not having the package xdg-user-dirs installed (its not present at the live-iso and its not installed at the fresh installed system). After installing this package and rebooting the system all went fine and the users dirs are correctly added. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.download the F42 Cosmic iso and install it 2.open the cosmic file manager Actual Results: See an empty window, without any default user directory Expected Results: See cosmic file manager populated with the habitual user directories Additional Information: cosmic-session-1.0.0~alpha.6-1.fc42 Fedora-COSMIC-Live-42-1.1.x86_64.iso
Created attachment 2084924 [details] screenshot from cosmic file manager at fresh install It have only the Download directory, because I already used Firefox to download a test jpg file from the web.
Created attachment 2084925 [details] screenshot from cosmic file manager after installing xdg-user-dirs After running sudo dnf install xdg-user-dirs and rebooting the system, the default dirs showed up at the file manager.
