When using kernel version 6.14.0-63, my device is identified as enp12s0f4u2. Using kernel version 6.14.2-300, my device is identified as wwp12s0f4u2. Other people in the 'Ask Fedora' forum, who have the same problem as I have, have linked the behaviour to the following kernel patch: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/67d1a8956d2d62fe6b4c13ebabb57806098511d8
Problem is solved after updating to kernel version 6.14.6-300
