Trying to upgrade to Fedora 42 using the fedora-upgrade script, it failed. I've traced the problem down to dnf outputting things when it shouldn't. The command causing the script failure is # dnf download -q --destdir /tmp/tmp.92CwL3JCN0 '--disablerepo=*' --enablerepo=fedora --releasever=42 fedora-repos Downloading Packages: When -q is given, the text "Downloading Packages:" shouldn't be outputted. dnf5-5.2.12.0-2.fc41.x86_64 Reproducible: Always
Do you mean that "Downloading Packages:" title is printed alone? # dnf download dontpanic Updating and loading repositories: Repositories loaded. Downloading Packages: dontpanic-0:1.02-18.fc42.i686 100% | 393.7 KiB/s | 20.9 KiB | 00m00s dontpanic-0:1.02-18.fc42.x86_64 100% | 389.0 KiB/s | 21.0 KiB | 00m00s # # dnf -q download dontpanic Downloading Packages: #
Fixed upstream.
yes, thanks
