System was being used normally with a lot of apps open. I started copying a large file over a NFS share. Then everything froze and my desktop session was killed couple of minutes after. It solely appears to affect Qt-based applications (not merely KDE Frameworks-based ones). However, it doesn't affect all, for VLC copes fine.
