Please, build XFCE4 for EPEL10.
This is likely to be impossible currently. We need: an xorg stack/server (which rhel10 doesn't ship, but could be shipped in epel I suppose if anyone was crazy enough) or wayland support in Xfce (hopefully coming more in 4.22).
It's wanted even without Xorg as you can use it with remote systems, like TigerVNC or ThinLinc.
+1, we use it for remote systems via VNC-based software.
+1 from here, we use it for VNC sessions which have to be lightweight

Yeah, maybe use (local actually) VM to downgrade with a second system. Recommendation is to tunnel X via bad internet if really neeeded (for instance by SSH but that is known to be brutally slow because of encryption).
This is for my desktop host (which is currently running 9). Our entire site is migrating to 10 over the next year. Running 9 "somewhere" won't be possible at that point.
