Please branch and build python-texttable in epel10.

Comment 1 Dave Johansen 2025-05-16 16:46:11 UTC
Can I please be removed as a maintainer from python-texttable and all other Red Hat packages? I'm no longer interested in supporting Red Hat since it's removed support for CentOS.

Sure thing, working on it now.

> Can I please be removed as a maintainer from python-texttable and all other Red Hat packages?

You're not a maintainer for this package, and have never committed to it, so I'm not sure how you became the default EPEL bugzilla assignee. Regardless, I've reset the default EPEL bugzilla assignee to myself as the current maintainer of the package.

Red Hat puts far more resources into CentOS now than ever before. You're free volunteer your time to whatever open source projects you like, but please refrain from spreading FUD about projects just because you don't understand them.

Not trying to spread FUD. Could you help me understand what I'm missing about CentOS 8 and 9 support? I have a remote machine that I expected to be able to update until May 2029, but to my knowledge I can't anymore, so what do I not understand about that?
