hostname: rogueamendiares reason: gnome-shell killed by SIGSEGV cmdline: /usr/bin/gnome-shell I'm not sure how to reproduce this on another computer. This may or may not be related to bug #712612 (I tried to report this through Problem Reporting and it pointed me to that bug). This started when I had just started up the game Helldivers 2 (from Steam and which I never had problems with before), and game suddenly closed about a minute into it. The game suddenly shut down along with Gnome itself, and then I was just looking at the GDM login screen. It did not completely reboot my system. At that point, I found that I can't log back into Gnome again. After putting my password, and pressing enter, my screen will go blank for a few seconds, and then just come back to the GDM login screen. I've had to switch to KDE Plasma in the mean time. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: (Only reproducible on my computer on one user.) 1. Select Gnome at the GDM login screen for the user 2. Enter password and press enter Actual Results: Screen goes blank for a moment, and goes back to the initial GDM login screen with the list of users. Expected Results: Logging into Gnome desktop.
