Description Ben Engbers 2025-06-09 14:12:13 UTC
I want to / need to work with TexMaths and texlive-LuaTexJa in LibreOffice writer. LO Writer comes with TexMaths 0.49 bundled. This version does not support LuaLaTex.
According to the documentation (http://roland65.free.fr/texmaths/docs.html) since version 0.51 TexMaths supports the use of LuaLatex.

The latest version of LuaTexJa no longer supports the use of .ttf-fonts. Only .otf-fonts can be used. And for LuaTexJa, the use of LuaLatex is mandatory.

Is it possible to bundle LO with the most recent version of TexMaths?

Reproducible: Always

I suppose we can upgrade texmaths to the latest release. Ian, do you have any objection?

BTW, I've adjusted the project version check in Anitya, so we should get notifications of new versions again.

Comment 2 Ian McInerney 2025-06-09 16:15:38 UTC
No objection to updating it. I actually lost track of the versions, because Anitya wasn't giving any notifications, so thanks for fixing that!

I think this is low-risk enough that it is worth doing it in F42 and Rawhide, and potentially even F41. I should have some time to do this in the next day or so.

Package updates submitted for all Fedora versions now. They should enter the testing repo in a bit, so you can give them a whirl and leave some karma if it works.
