If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem.

If you don't react accordingly to the policy for FTBFS/FTI bugs (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/), your package may be orphaned in 8+ weeks.

P.S. The data was generated solely from koji buildroot, so it might be newer than the latest compose or the content on mirrors. To reproduce, use the koji/local repo only, e.g. in mock:

    $ mock -r fedora-43-x86_64 --config-opts mirrored=False install lutris

P.P.S. If this bug has been reported in the middle of upgrading multiple dependent packages, please consider using side tags: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Updates_Policy/#updating-inter-dependent-packages

Thanks!

It's not clear to me that this is actually a Lutris issue.

I cant find anywhere in the lutris source code which would imply that it only takes 3.13 versions of python stuff, nor do I see that we have specified something like that in the spec.

Any thoughts @farchord ?

Comment 2 Steve Cossette 2025-06-16 13:12:32 UTC
Nah I left this here for now because this is a result of the Python SiG building Python 3.14 in rawhide. So I was gonna give it some time and then simply push it.

I'll have to inquire with them sometime this week.

Comment 3 Karolina Surma 2025-06-17 10:03:18 UTC
This package can't install because it depends on protobuf which hasn't been rebuilt successfully yet.
While the first comment is somewhat confusing, the field "Depends On" shows the correct culprit, you can also inspect https://koschei.fedoraproject.org/package/lutris

All subpackages of a package against which this bug was filled are now installable or removed from Fedora 43.

Thanks for taking care of it!
