Description Parth Arora 2025-06-12 09:56:14 UTC
Description of problem:

During upgrades the `rbd mirror pool status <poolname>` command is not backward compatible.

If the Osds are on `ceph version 19.2.0-139.el9cp` and the client calling the rbd cmd is on `19.2.1`, the commands throws an error, which makes the status as error state

```
sh-5.1$ rbd mirror pool status ocs-storagecluster-cephblockpool
rbd: failed to get status summary for mirrored groups: (95) Operation not supported
2025-06-10T14:09:27.616+0000 7f460f1b5380 -1 librbd::api::Mirror: group_status_summary: failed to get mirror status summary: (95) Operation not supported
```

We need a fix, if both client and cluster is not on same version not provide a error state.
