Description Akira TAGOH 2025-06-13 10:55:13 UTC
root-fonts contains application specific font files:
$ dnf repoquery -lq root-fonts
/usr/share/root/fonts
/usr/share/root/fonts/STIXGeneral.otf
/usr/share/root/fonts/STIXGeneralBol.otf
/usr/share/root/fonts/STIXGeneralBolIta.otf
/usr/share/root/fonts/STIXGeneralItalic.otf
/usr/share/root/fonts/STIXSiz1Sym.otf
/usr/share/root/fonts/STIXSiz1SymBol.otf
/usr/share/root/fonts/STIXSiz2Sym.otf
/usr/share/root/fonts/STIXSiz2SymBol.otf
/usr/share/root/fonts/STIXSiz3Sym.otf
/usr/share/root/fonts/STIXSiz3SymBol.otf
/usr/share/root/fonts/STIXSiz4Sym.otf
/usr/share/root/fonts/STIXSiz4SymBol.otf
/usr/share/root/fonts/STIXSiz5Sym.otf

That's okay but the packaging guidelines says:
Other upstream files
Support for other font systems, for specific applications, non-OpenType font formats, bulky documentation, TEX, CSS, or JSON files… MUST be split in separate non-font packages, that SHOULD install outside /usr/share/fonts, and MUST NOT use <something>-fonts naming.

https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/FontsPolicy/#:~:text=Other%20upstream%20files,%2Dfonts%20naming.

Please rename it.

Reproducible: Always
