Description John Stracke 2025-06-21 17:05:18 UTC
/lib/udev/rules.d/66-3dprinter.rules enables USB access to a bunch of 3D printers, but it doesn't include any FlashForge printers. Mine is a FlashForge Creator Pro 2, vendor 2b71, idProduct 000e.

(Many FlashForge printers have WiFi, so people are less likely to need udev support; but the Creator Pro 2 is USB only.)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install FlashPrint from flatpak.
2. Plug a Creator Pro 2 into the machine.
3. Open the Multi Machine Control window in FlashPrint.
Actual Results:
The Creator Pro 2 is not listed.

Expected Results:
The Creator Pro 2 should be in the list of printers, and it should be possible to print to it.

Additional Information:
I have a custom udev rule file which makes this work; I'll attach it when the bug is created.

Here's the output of lsusb|grep Flash:

Bus 009 Device 010: ID 2b71:000e Flashforge FlashForge Creator Pro 2 3D Printer
