Comment 1 Ben Beasley 2025-07-19 12:25:50 UTC
According to https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2025-53816, this CVE arises from a defect in NCompress::NRar5::CDecoder. Since the NRar5 handler are not present in the forked-and-bundled 7-Zip code in advancecomp (and in fact, it does not contain any rar-format-related code at all), this CVE does not apply to advancecomp.
