Description of problem: When I render animations, the render window hangs. [^1] If I even attempt to close the main window in this state, they both hang. The consequence of this is inconsistent: most of the time Blender handles it somewhat well, but the wait remains annoying. Other times, like this, it outright crashes. The DE is ultimately what killed it: it offers to do so when it's hung. Could you test this https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2025-a9d61c853e which has the latest Blender release?
(In reply to Luya Tshimbalanga from comment #12) Apologies for the wait. Was attempting to diagnose https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/issue/12534#comment-979723. Should I merely install solely `blender-4.5.0-1.fc42` (from https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2025-a9d61c853e#builds-tab:~:text=Tests%2012%202-,blender%2D4.5.0%2D1.fc42,-ispc%2D1.27.0%2D2.fc42), or can this be better-achieved via the CLI, if I enable some kind of testing repository? I ask because I occasionally see such guidance at Bodhi, but not this time.
Install both blender-4.5.0-1 and openvdb-libs-11.0.0-20 for Fedora 42 Updates Testing repository.
